The place where we find deep stillness and joy,
is the only part of us that never changes,
and the place of all true knowledge.
Yoga and Ayurveda is for one and All. All have the right to the knowledge of the practices that lead to the Self, our true nature. Not only the fit, flexible, strong, young or wealthy. On the contrary these systems of knowledge were so designed and refined by ancient sages to embrace all ages, sizes and temperaments, through all walks of life, in every season, age and yuga.
Our true nature is bliss, infinite, eternal beauty, joy and peace.
The oneness we all seek in every relationship, the joy we experience in each creative moment, the stillness we savor in every moment of rest and the infinite vitality of every child, are all an innate memory of our true nature.
Who does not seek to experience joy, peace and beauty in each encounter? Whether consciously or not every gesture, spoken word and thought is an attempt to return to that which we truly are.
The only thing standing in the way of our experiencing this joy is lack of health physically, mentally and spiritually. Health means being balanced and at harmony with ourselves and our surroundings as it is at any given moment. Balance between being firm and strong yet allowing ourselves to be reflective and at ease in body, mind and soul. Being healthy in body, mind and soul is the path that leads us back to our true nature.
In the physical body this means being both strong and finding the softness within each gesture, energetically it means we contain vitality yet radiate it out to others without depleting ourselves. Health in the mind is perception that is grounded and certain yet holds a clear open space for all to enter our conscious experience, spiritually it is the soul that is very aware of its surroundings yet does not forget our true nature, that which is beyond all changes, that which is infinite.
So how do we perceive clearly and create health? How do we clear the path to rediscovering our blissful self?
Through cleansing the body-mind-soul complex. Through creating a digestive fire that not only digests but also absorbs and nourishes the entire body. The physical, energetic, mental and intelligence bodies all have a digestive fire and each has it's specific practices to cleanse and enhance their function optimally.
Yoga has vast amounts of practices, together with the principles of Ayurveda these become the infinite practices needed to help each and every individual to heal and lead us back to the health inherent within us. Each practice brings our awareness into a different aspect of being, clears it, digests it and then we can start to sense the juiciness and joy contained within each experience.
Together Yoga and Ayurveda constitute the practices needed to create healthy habits to support, nourish and help our body, mind and soul thrive on all levels. A healthy sense of self and relation to the world around us is a healthy identity. A healthy identity simultaneously affects all others and our environment positively. Together these sister sciences can lead each of us to the health and happiness we all seek.
May all of us be healthy.
May all of us be happy.
May all of us know that all that exists is beauty and joy.
May all of us feel blessed and know bliss.
